***THIS EVENT IS BEING RESCHEDULED FROM SATURDAY 23 JULY 2022. The proposed rescheduled date is 28 August 2022 (TBC). We will update you as soon as we have confirmation.***

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
‘Antsy for Anstey’ is GoodRunnings’ fourth annual trail run held in the infamous Anstey Hill Recreation Park – wth a bit of a twist this year! In previous years, we’ve gotten one consistent bit of feedback “Love the event, love the course – but could you add more to the course so that we’re not continuously doing loops of just the Yellowtail track?”

Well, you asked for it, and we listened! Antsy for Anstey will now consist of MULTRIPLE tracks. We’ve broken it down so that if you’re doing 6km, you’re still exclusively on the Yellowtail loop. If you’re doing 10km or greater, there are more sites, though. In fact, we’re introducing two different 10km loops (each comprised of about 3 trails) which we alternate between for any 20+ km difference. See course map and key for more explanation.

COURSE DESCRIPTION & MAP:

*Loops are run in a clockwise direction.

There are two loops involved. Loop 1 involves the Yellowtail loop, the Wednesday loop, and the Quarry Views Hike loop. Loop 2 involves the Yellowtail Loop and the Bursaria Hike loop. Both loops are approximatel 1km. To top up certain distances to their exact measurement, some loops also involve the Little Quarry Loop. Race marshals will be on course to direct you on your path. The starting point occurs near the event parking lot (in the main gate) of Anstey Hill Recreation Park.

AID STATION:

There will be two aid stations on the course. The first aid station is at the start/finish of each lap and the second aid station is located where the Yellowtail Loop and Bursaria Hike Loop separate. Runners are recommended to bring their own hydration supplies if they feel they need more water. The aid stations will have lollies, hydration, and first aid supplies.

BIB COLLECTION, RACE BRIEFING, & START LOCATION:

Bib collection is exclusively available on the day, starting 30 minutes prior to the wave’s start time. The race briefing will begin promptly 15 minutes prior to each wave’s start time. All participants will be expected to socially distance during the briefing, at the start line, and on course.

EARLY/LATE STARTS:

A 6:00 early start will be available to those who arrange it during registration. A late start of up to 2 hours is available to those who arrange it, with written notice and acceptable reason. Early and late starters are not eligible for podium recognition.
