‘Antsy for Anstey’ is GoodRunnings’ second annual trail run held in the infamous Anstey Hill Recreation Park. It offers a great opportunity to those trying to build up to a difficult distance/course in one of the most scenic locations in the area.
COURSE DESCRIPTION & MAP:
The course involves laps on the 6.2km Yellowtail Loop, with distances of 1km, 2.5km, 6.2km, 12.4km, 18.6km, 21.1km, 24.8km, 31km, 50km, and 62km on offer. Distances greater than 6.2km involve multiple laps of the Yellowtail Loop; distances of less than 6.2km involve a shortened course. All loops are run clockwise with the exception of the shortened ‘out & back’ loops of 1km, 2.5km, 21.1km (first lap), and 50km (first lap). The starting point occurs near the event parking lot (in the main gate) of Anstey Hill Recreation Park.
There will be one aid station on the course, at the start/finish of each lap. Runners are recommended to bring their own hydration supplies if they feel they need more water. The aid station will have lollies, hydration, and first aid.
BIB COLLECTION, RACE BRIEFING, & START LOCATION:
Bib collection is exclusively available on the day, starting 30 minutes prior to the wave’s start time. The race briefing will begin promptly 15 minutes prior to each wave’s start time. All participants will be expected to socially distance during the briefing, at the start line, and on course.
A two hour early start will be available to those who arrange it during registration.
All events will be cut-off at 6pm.
An optional medal is available for free to events/distances of 21.1km and over; it is available for $12.00 for events/distances of under 21.1km. Personalisation services (of name, inspirational message, and/or finish time) are available for an additional cost of $5-$10, depending on the level of personalisation.
