Laratinga Wetlands, Mount Barker
EVENT PAGE: to be posted when it becomes active
REGISTRATION LINK: to be posted when it becomes active
The two events in the series are designed to give you unique challenges and locale. The first event, the Maritime Run, showcases the charming landscape of Aldinga, with heartstopping ocean views colliding with umber sandstone. The second event, the Hero Run, highlights the picturesque waterlands at Laratinga Wetlands. Each event offers its own theme, altitude, geography, and spirit – two courses to suit any weekend warrior.
The Hero Run is an event dedicated to celebrating the heroes in our lives – from the every day heroes (such as single parents and ultra runners) to the more fanciful heroes that don capes and save the world. Come, dressed as your favourite hero, and chance winning a prize!
The Hero Run uses a 10km out-and-back looped course that covers the Laratinga Wetlands and the Mount Barker Linear Trail. Distances of 10km and under will use one loop (with different turnaround points); distances of more than 10km will use multiple loops.
COURSE MAP & AID STATION:
There will be 2 aid stations on the course – one manned, one unmanned. Runners are recommended to bring their own hydration supplies if they feel they need more water. All aid stations will have lollies and hydration; the manned aid station will also offer first aid.
