COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Reindeer Run is intended to kick off the holidays with a festive run - with a unique, festive medal! It visits a new spot in one of GoodRunnings’s favourite areas – the Patawolonga Creek (new spot) in Holdfast Bay (favourite area). The course follows 2.5km loops along the river, a quiet scene only a few hundred metres from the bustle of Glenelg. An aid station is passed every 2.5km and all distances of more than 2.5km consist of multiple loops. A post-run coffee (and enjoyment of Glenelg) is available for anyone who wants to stick around and get to know their fellow runners.

AID:
There will be 1 aid station on the course. It is present at the start/finish of each loop and is passed every 2.5km. The aid station will have lollies, hydration, and first aid.

Medals are free to anyone running at least a half marathon distance and $8 to anyone running a shorter distance. Personalised medal inscriptions (with name and time) are available for an extra $5. .


RACE BRIEFING TIME
All runners are expected to be present at the start 15 minutes before the start time for the race briefing. 19 January 2020           Sun Run                   Sturt River Linear Pathway

SERIES DESCRIPTION:

The Sun Run is the first event in a two-event summer series (the Sizzlin' Series), with each event visiting a separate segment of the Linear Pathway. The first event - the Sun Run - follows the Sturt River Linear Park. The second event, the City Run (2 Feb 2019), follows the Linear Path along the Torrens River, using the Weir Loop.

Participants who complete distaces in both events are eligible to purchase a Series medal at cost ($10).



COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Sun Run starts/finishes at Oaklands Estate Reserve and follows a 10 km loop along the Sturt River Linear Park, from South Road to Anzac Highway (and back to Oaklands Estate Reserve). Distances of more than 10 km will involve more than one loop.

Typically, marathon registrants will be offered the option of transferring to a later marathon, changing distances, or being offered a credit/refund.

The City Run (formerly known as the River Run) is the second event in a two-event summer series (the Sizzlin' Series), with each event visiting a separate segment of the Linear Pathway. The first event - the Sun Run (19 Jan 2019) - follows the Sturt River Linear Park. The City Run follows the Linear Path along the Torrens River, using the Weir Loop.

Participants who complete distances in both events are eligible to purchase a Series medal at cost ($10).

The City Run starts/finishes at Bonython Park (next to the kiosk) and follows the Weir Loop along the River Torrens, taking in a few iconic Adelaide-an sites. Distances of more than 7.5 km will involve more than one loop.

The Twilight Runs are a two-day, two-event series occurring in the evening, on 29 February & 1 March. Each evening visits a similar but different course along the coastline of Holdfast Bay. The first event, the Star Run, occurs along Brighton foreshore and second event, the Moon Run, occurs along the Glenelg foreshore.

Twilight Runs are strategically planned to occur on the final days of summer, giving us a chance to enjoy some of the last warm evenings of the season.

Due to permit constraints, there is a cap of 45 people for each event. Only the first event will offer the marathon distance, unless there is enough interest to host a marathon for both days.

 
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Star Run. The Star Run utilises the course of ‘BrightonUp’, following a 5km loop along the Brighton foreshore, starting and ending at the Brighton jetty. Distances of more than 5km will involve more than one loop.
